Hunter adds to its Smart Valve and Wireless Valve controller lines

LM Week in Review

SAN MARCOS, CA — Hunter Industries introduced new additions to its SVC Smart Valve and WVC Wireless Valve System controller families.

Hunter SVC-200

Hunter’s new smart valve controller, the SVC-200, provides two-station capability to meet applications where only two-valve control is needed. SVC-200 joins the one-station (SVC-100) and four-station (SVC-400) models.

All SVCs are battery-controlled, designed for isolated or remote locations where power may be unavailable or restricted. All SVC models have the same programming protocol and accommodate Hunter Mini-Clik, Rain-Clik and Freeze-Clik sensors, enabling automatic shutoff during inclement weather. The SVC-200 is fully submersible, waterproof up to a 12-foot depth.

Hunter WVC-100

Hunter introduced a single-station wireless valve controller, the WVC-100, meeting a need where one-valve control is all that’s required.

Like Hunter’s SVC, the WVC models are ideal for areas where electrical power may be restricted or unavailable, such as traffic medians, landscaped intersections, rural properties, construction sites or municipal parks. System checks and programming can be done remotely, with no need to reach inside the valve box to connect a field transmitter and download program instructions. For added security, all installed components can be underground or out-of-view, increasing vandal resistance.
